Bark BQ Summer Potluck
Event Overview
Jenn’s hosting a summer potluck. Come out to Brujita Empowered Space and enjoy hot dogs (first come first served) in a community space new to SA. Can’t bring for the potluck? Donate to their small food pantry on site and/or support small business by making purchases from vendor tables (purchases not required, but very much appreciated.)
Fursuits are allowed, but please be safe and stay hydrated. Your health and safety come first!

- Texas weather can be unpredictable. Please be safe while suiting up. If planning to fursuit, please bring your identification in the event of something happening. Better to be safe than sorry.
Space is small on the inside of the building so be careful maneuvering inside with your fursuit heads on. The owner was gracious enough to let us use the space to host the event. Any damages incured will have to be paid for out of pocket by Jenn. Jenn loves hosting these meets so please don't do anything bad. - What to Bring

badge/badges (if not fursuiting so others can identify you)
fursuit partial (not required, your health and safety come first)
legal form of ID on you (in the event if emergency response personnel need to come out, they can easily identify who you are) - Parking and Accessibility
- Please be advised that Brujita Empowered operates out of a historic, grandfathered building. Due to the age and classification of the structure, entry requires navigating physical steps, and there is no wheelchair ramp available.The center has formally consulted their landlord regarding this matter. Because city regulations do not legally mandate the installation of a ramp for this grandfathered building, the landlord has declined to install one. Brujita Empowered is a small, grassroots community space trying their best with limited resources. They hope to transition to a fully accessible location in the future, but at this time cannot financially afford 100% building accessibility.
Parking is limited to parallel parking in front of the property and law firm across the street (located at 1800 W Commerce St). Carpooling or bussing is recommended. Do not park on the neighborhood side streets as you can be towed by the city. - Rules and Notes
- Space will be open to the public during our event so please be mindful of those outside of the furry community who may come in and ask questions.
